Sometimes You Need to be Fed

This week has been busy, and tiring, but very rewarding! I’m attending our Leadership Bible Conference with missionaries from the States, and Pastors from surrounding islands. It’s a great time of fellowship, and preaching.

Yesterday I listened to five sermons (all wonderful) and left with a full heart.

Which reminded me that Pastors need to be fed as well.

Pastors and Missionaries have the extraordinary privilege of preaching and teaching the Word of God. But this means we aren’t often preached to. The busyness of life, ministry, and lack of leadership means our hearts aren’t fed from the preaching of God’s Word.

Thankfully God feeds us through the study of His Word

but there is something about a Pastor or Missionary who KNOWS WHAT YOU EXPERIENCE sharing truths of Scripture that minister to their heart that’s incredibly powerful.

I won’t do a lot of ministry this week

but that’s okay….

because I will spend a lot of time with an open Bible.
