In the summer of 2021 while dealing with a severe cataract I purchased some cheap perscription glasses. These glasses didn’t make my eyesight great, but it was definitely better than not having the help.
I just needed them to last four weeks….
And in about two weeks they broke!
I was laying on my bed watching a video on my computer when the glasses just snapped. Now laying on my side did put added pressure on the them. But when those glasses snapped it broke my heart!
A friend helped me the next day fix the frame with a combination of items. But I looked absolutely ridiculous for the weeks leading up to my trip home.
Life goes through seasons. Sometimes we are in a season of blessing where nothing can go wrong, other times we are in a season of frustration where EVERYTHING goes wrong (want to guess what I was going through?).
The important thing to remember in seasons of frustration is this isn’t the end
The season of blessing is coming.
Of course we know the season of frustration will end. But sometimes God in His sovereignty chooses to give us an extended season of frustration. A season that feels like it will never end!
I get it
trust me I do
But in those extended seasons we cling to the goodness of God. To the fact that He will not abandon us in our suffering. And He WILL bring us out!
A few weeks after my second eye surgery I took those glasses that were the source of so much frustration and crushed them in my hand.
it felt good!
And in just the same way, the source of your frustration will be crushed by our Heavenly Father when the time is right.
