A few Saturdays ago, my mom asked me if I wanted to go to some yard sales. My heart said “not really” but we went together so I could spend some time with her.

What I thought would be a boring morning revealed incredible treasures!

Last week I wrote about some doll babies the Lord provided (you can read about them here). The truth is, God provided MANY treasures during our yard sale adventures.

But one is my favorite

because God used it to teach me a lesson.

Last Friday was very busy as I completed lots of errands with my family, and then went to have my suit coat hemmed. After running around, I was tired and had things to get done at home. But on the way back my mom wanted to check out a few yard sales.

The first one wasn’t very good, so I probably wasn’t in the best mood as we drove to the second one.

That’s till I found the Hardy Boy books!

A fifth-grade teacher was selling a box of hardback Hardy Boy’s (books I devoured as a child) for $10!!!

Riding home God reminded me if I’d quit early after the first yard sale I would have missed out on that treasure.

The books now sit on a shelf at the house as a reminder that God gives incredible treasures to those who are faithful.
