In January 2021 the SVG Government began to restrict the amount of people who could come to church because of Covid regulations. This is totally understandable because though we didn’t have lots of cases, it was still a dangerous situation.
The new restrictions asked that no more than ten people be inside the church, and others could be outside. They also asked only one person sit on each row, and everyone wear a mask during the service.
It was a bit difficult working through these and other restrictions, but we did so
Because people need church!
Particularly during the Pandemic in-person gathering at church is incredibly important. Because this allows for limited fellowship, and more importantly focuses our hearts on God. This sadly wasn’t possible in all places since much of the States didn’t allow in person gathering (and understandably so). But those who could meet were called to do so.
The sad thing is there are churches in SVG who could have opened their doors, but instead kept them closed.
Because meeting was too hard….
And few people came
I do understand the frustration of putting in lots of work for a very small reward. But at the same time those who DO COME receive a great blessing!
The Pandemic reminded me that having church services are hard work sometimes…..but it’s worth all the effort.
Because in their most stressful moments people really need church
