After returning from a two-week visit in the States, I carried a bag in my hand through the airport with four boxes inside.
After running that box through security, a TSA agent called me over and asked “what are inside of those boxes?”
I smiled and told her it was 400 Gospel tracts
Thursday the Lord allowed me to give out thee last of those chick tracts (some of you may remember those, they are tracts in the form of cartoons like in the newspaper) to young people who I meet with during the week.
People may wonder how a large amount of tracts can be given out so quickly but it’s actually simple
You give them to everybody!!
My mindset when it comes to Gospel tracts has actually changed since I first came to the mission field. In 2017 I’d only give them to people who I knew were interested in receiving them, or would seriously read the tract. Of course if the Lord led me to give one out, I would! My reason for doing this is tracts are a precious commodity (you can’t get them here, they must be ordered from the states).
The Lord showed me this attitude though wise in some ways (see tracts carefully) was actually quite foolish. Because my human reasoning couldn’t truly know which individuals the Lord was working on, or whose heart was open to Him. Also, the Gospel is meant to be spread out (scattered abroad) instead of hoarded.
The point is my job is to send out the Gospel as far and wide as possible, not worry about results
So we pass out tracts to everyone
And look for opportunities to explain the Gospel
Knowing that God will bring fruit
