God Knows Our Needs

Saturday morning, I went to yard sales with my mom. Honestly, I didn’t expect to find many things for ministry in Saint Vincent.

I was very wrong!

Throughout the morning, I found countless treasures to use with the children of SVG. Things like books, matchbox cars, water guns, and even doll babies! But the Lord saved the greatest treasure for last.

Little girls everywhere love doll babies (just like all boys everywhere love cars and soccer balls). I’ve given some to young ladies I work with, and they are thrilled…..

but they were almost always white!

Please understand I am not trying to be racial. It’s just a part of me wants girls in SVG to have baby dolls that LOOK LIKE THEM.

Which is why I was excited to see FOUR DARK SKINNED BABY DOLLS AT THE LAST HOUSE!!

okay, one of them is Moana, but she will work.

I instantly grabbed up all of them and asked the lady how much. She found out what I was doing with them, and asked for $5!

This experience reminded me that God knows our needs. He knew I was looking for dark skinned baby dolls that would bring joy to the children of Saint Vincent. And in a perfect way He met that need.

I don’t know what your need is today my friend….

but that’s okay.

Because God does.
