Yesterday morning I had the privilege of sharing my ministry at the church where my family moved when I was twelve years old.
It was a joy seeing old friends….
But my mind was on a special spot.
In my younger years I was incredibly shy and introverted. This eventually developed into some self-esteem issues that caused me to view myself as worthless. Today I know that is a lie, but in the ninth grade it was a real struggle.
On Easter Sunday night 1992, my pastor (Dr. Wayne Fulton) in a message challenged us to become people who were completely sold out for God. And in that moment the Holy Spirit called me to be one of those people.
All the way home I had an argument in my mind with God about how He wanted to use somebody with more ability. And God through the Holy Spirit kept calling me.
About an hour after church I knelt in my parents patio giving God complete control of my life….and things haven’t been the same since!
Visiting the spot were God called me to give Him complete control yesterday reminded me that He is faithful.
And He WILL USE US if we let Him.
