Earlier this week, a neighbor tied his goat in my yard (with my permission) since the grass had gotten a little high. I had no problem with this since goats do no damage to the property.

He came to check on the goat Tuesday and said “oh! She made a baby!”

later that day two kiddies (baby goats) were following their mother around my yard.

It was sweet to watch those babies interact with their mother, and nurse from her. It was a reminder from nature that we all have a basic need to be nurtured (cared for).

Dealing with young people I have experienced MANY of them who display an attitude of toughness. But on the inside, they long for someone to love them.

Like this little sheep, after finding someone who does, they will follow them closely.

Nurturing does not mean we allow them to do whatever they want……

It does not create an attitude of dependency that never tries to accomplish anything.

It is there in their darkest moment to bring comfort

It says you love them…and then backs it up with action.
