The Lord has provided many opportunities for me to share the needs of SVG in churches during my three-month furlough. But there were a few Sundays in October that I really wanted to get filled.
Those Sundays stayed open no matter how hard I tried to fill them
Until last week.
I was sitting at my computer Wednesday morning when a Pastor messaged me asking if I’d be willing to be a part of their mission’s conference. Of course, I IMMEDIATELY called him, and soon we had scheduled my being there.
This was huge because that particular church is always incredibly busy. For me to get a spot in their conference is surprising. For one of their pastors to ask me if I wanted to be part of the conference is incredible!
The best part was that filled one of my final openings. In fact I only had one more Sunday to fill.
And I filled it Wednesday evening!
I attend prayer meeting at a small church with my mom and dad on Wednesday evenings. During the church the pastor asked me if there were any possible openings to share with them.
The Lord reminded me last week it’s His job (not mine) to open doors.
I was trying to “force open” those doors with my own effort but that didn’t work. But in His time the Lord worked it out.
And often its when we finally stop pushing that He opens that door.
